Went on a wine adventure in McElmo Canyon visiting two vineyards. Guy Drew Vineyards and Sutcliffe Vineyards. Up first was Guy Drew Vineyards.
It was a nice and quiet visit. The tasting room was in their kitchen, very warm, cozy and friendly. My friend and I sat down with one of the owners, Ruth. She told us stories of wines while we sampled their delicious selection.
Up next was a short drive down the road to Sutcliffe Vineyard. It was lively place, full of cute puppies, bustling conversations and exquisite wine tasted and consumed.
You can tell the owner, John, prides himself in greeting and talking to everyone who comes to his establishment. His entertaining personality and stories keep guests visiting longer and telling tales of this and that.
All in all, we had a lovely time visiting two wonderful vineyards. Both served delicious wine, but very different for being grown in the same canyon. More wine adventures please!
